Possible KH3 Dearly Beloved played at VGO in Taiwan
Just to clarify: this is the same version of Dearly Beloved that VGO has played since 2012, only with the addition of a violin solo. It has nothing to do with KH3.

We got a small taste of Tetsuya Nomura’s recent interview with Famitsu that had been edited earlier which revealed that Kingdom Hearts III will be developed on the Unreal Engine 4. Thanks to Goldpanner, the revised edition of the interview has been fully translated!
Small parts have been tweaked by Famitsu, which provide a fresh new take on Nomura’s words.
Director Tetsuya Nomura announced in a recent interview with Famitsu that development of Kingdom Hearts III has been moved to Epic Game’s Unreal Engine 4 instead of Square Enix’s in-house engine, Luminous Studios, due to the difficulties the development team ran into while trying to work with the engine.
Back in October 2012, Square Enix made a long-term licensing deal with Epic Games for use of their Unreal Engine 3 & Unreal Engine 4. Many people believed these game engines would be used only on games developed by Eidos which is a subsidiary of Square Enix.
So Kingdom Hearts 3 is now being developed with Unreal Engine 4… What does this mean?! Has the in-house Luminous Engine failed or do they just want the Luminous team to focus on FFXV? My guesses are they want both games done in a timely manner so they moved KH3 over to Unreal. With this, both games are now being developed with 100% focus. As far as production, this is amazing because Unreal has shown to be better than Luminous but my question is will this push the release date even further back? I know we as fans are being impatient, I mean we’ve been waiting years just for a trailer but I feel like when it drops, we won’t be disappointed! it’ll be everything we ever dreamed of so for now, I’ll wait with a positive attitude but I want to know how you guys feel about SE decision making of late. Let me know!!!
The Luminous team was folded into the FFXV team some time ago.
To be honest, this is a great move. Luminous is extremely limited (plus the guy in charge of the project left the company months ago) and has been giving the teams difficulty for so long. UE4 on the other hand is streamlined and more importantly, easier to work with.
Keep in mind that the Osaka team has never worked on a new-gen title before, and the KH remasters are their only experience with current-gen. They’re learning as they go, and if the engine the game is built on is causing more trouble than it’s worth, the smart thing to do is take advantage of the project still being in pre-production and switch gears.
Epic has a studio in Japan that will make development much more convenient for SE, and they won’t be so reliant on the Luminous team whose priority is always FFXV first and foremost.
It’s been a 7 year wait, but it’s all over now.
